Local Hacking
There is a Bridlepath which can be accessed off Smith-Hall lane,
which is just 200 yards or so from Homestead Country Stables.
The bridlepath will bring you out onto Cuscus Lane, a
quiet
country lane joining back onto Mercaston lane.
There are ample of quiet country lanes for safe hacking through
the village of Mercaston. Take a scenic tour to local ajoining
villages such Muggington, Weston Underwood, returning back
to Mercaston Village.
You can also utilise the quiet country lanes to ride direct to Kedleston Hall, if you fancy travelling further a field. And don't forget there is Carsington Resevoir, a very popular visitor attraction which has its own Bridlepaths and is only 10 minutes drive away. |
